Dredging in practice.

Explore the original project case studies, from waterways and dams to industrial sediment management.

These historical case studies retain their original authorship, project details and branding. Each document opens as a PDF.

Explore the project library

The Catfish project library brings together original case studies covering waterways, industrial sites and sediment-management applications. Documents include Kananook Creek, Torrumbarry Weir, Agnew Gold Mines, Biosludge WA and other named projects. They provide background for visitors who want to look beyond an equipment overview and understand the settings described in the original material.

We have preserved the documents with their original authorship and branding. They are historical references rather than a list of current contracts. A project name or location should not be read as a promise that the same equipment configuration or operating arrangement will suit a new job. Open the relevant PDF to see the information supplied for that example.

Use a case study to start a more useful conversation

When reviewing a document, consider how the site compares with yours. Look for differences in the material, water depth, access, discharge route and proposed handling of dredged sediment. Even where two sites appear similar, those details can change the equipment discussion. Let us know which case study prompted your enquiry and what you see as the similarities or differences.

The library also contains Geotube case studies relating to Adelaide dredging, coal fines sludge, wastewater treatment and other sediment-management settings. These documents sit alongside the dredging examples to provide additional background. They do not replace an assessment of the proposed site or establish the scope of services for a new project.

Discuss your own project

If you are planning dredging work, send the location, a short description of the material and your preferred timeframe. Include a site plan or photographs by email if available. You can find equipment brochures in Resources and practical planning questions in our FAQs. Contact Catfish to discuss the information needed for your particular enquiry.
